The feeling is that the city has grown vertically not horizontally!
It is composed of buildings in which you cant imagine how many floors there are!
HK is absolutely a night-time city!
It is impossible to find free wi-fi even in restaurants and cafes, there is no such service. Only a few providers let you use 20min/day connection in specific chains, if you need to connect a lot whether you spend some time in your hotel or buy a local sim-card!
You sometimes feel you are in UK, then it turns out to be the real Asian soil. European expats in tall plazas on one hand, Asian locals on another. Shops of premium brands and the local night markets selling cheap items are side by side!
Some serious percentage of touristic shopping is done for watches, you cant prevent yourself from thinking "what kind of wrist watch demand is this?", moreover the numerous Rolex dealers on every corner of every street make you think like "I thought Rolex is a premium brand!"
English signs everywhere will make life easy here!
ULAŞIM
HK ulaşım anlamında Istanbula çok benziyor! Trafik anlamında değil ama!
Şehiriçi ulaşım için "Octopus card"a yükleme yaparak kullanılabiliyor!
Octopus kart satış gişelerinden alıp, depozitosunu ülkeden ayrılırken geri alabiliyorsunuz!
Octopus karta sonradan yükleme de yapılabiliyor ama en az 50 HK $'ı yüklenebiliyor!

Havaalanından şehre en ucuz ve direk gidiş Havaş gibi otobüslerle! (33 HK $) (Otobüs#A21)
Şehiriçi metro kullanmak isterseniz, mesafeye göre fiyat değişiyor, çıkarken ödemeyi alıyorlar!
Zaten mesafeler çok fazla olmadığı için, kolaylıkla yürünebilir bir yer!
TRANSPORTATION
The city is quite similar to Istanbul, not in means of traffic jam though!
You can buy an "Octopus Card" and load it as much as you want for city transportatin, and collect your deposit back while leaving!
The minimum level to reload is $HK 50, and the card is valid even in some restaurants!
The cheapest way from the airport to the city is using the #A21 direct bus which costs $ HK 33 per person!
Metro fee depends on the distance, and the payment is made in the exit counters!
Hongkong is a walkable city!

Crystal Jade - zincir restoran - Canton Road, Harbour City alışveriş merkezi içi 3.kat! (Zincir mağaza ve AVM içinde olduğu için, kötü olacağı önyargısı ile gittim ama yemekleri çok başarılı!) (pırasalı eti ve kajunlu chili tavuk çok güzeldi!)
Wing Wah Noodles - Hennessy road, Wan Chai (southorn playgroung karşısı) - ünlü bambu noodle'ları ev yapımı, nilüfer çiçeği kökünden yaptıkları tatlıları enteresan!
Tin Hau Food Square - kaz etleri çok güzeldi!
FOOD
Crystal Jade - A chain of restaurants with a branch in Harbour City Mall, Canton Road, 3rd floor made our day. (Went there with prejudice since it is some place in a mall, however the food is awesome) (beef with leek, and chili chicken with cajun are worth trying)
Wing Wah Noodles - Hennessy road, Wan Chai (opposite of southorn playground) - The famous bamboo noodle is homemade, and the lotus seed soup dessert is interesting!
Tin Hau Food Square - the goose roasted here is amazing!

Hong Kong, özellikle bir yere gitmekten çok, sokaklarında aylak aylak gezeceğiniz bir yer!
Kowloon bölgesinde, Symphony of Lights, Canton Road, Nathan Road, Temples Street Night Market, Ladies Market! Zaten hepsi birbirinin devamı, kolayca bir gecede gezilebiliyor!
Kowloon ile Hong Kong arasında gidip gelen Star Ferry'e gece binmenizi tavsiye ederim! (Octopus kart geçerli)
Hong Kong tarafında, Hollywood road, Soho, Wan Chai bölgesi, Causeway Bay bölgesi, Victoria Peak!
Lantau adası - Hong Kong 6 numaralı iskelesinden kalkan feribotlarla önce Mui Wo'ya gidiliyor! Şansınıza göre, hızlı feribot gelirse 30 dk, eski feribot gelirse 1 saatlik uzaklıkta! Buradan, 2 numaralı otobüsle yaklaşık 30 dk yolculukla Ngang Ping kasabasına gidiliyor! Bu kasaba ünlü Buddha heykelinin olduğu yer! Biraz çakma bir yer bana sorarsanız! Giriş ücretine 1 dondurma ve su dahil :) Yüzen köye de gitmek isterseniz, 21 nolu otobüsle, Tai O'ya gidilebilir!
PLACES TO SEE
Hong Kong is a city you want to hang around the streets, rather than visiting remote places in a rush.
Symphony of Lights, Canton Road, Nathan Road, Temples Street Night Market, Ladies Market are where you visit in Kowloon. These places are almost joint of each other, so can be seen in a single day easily.
We recommend you to take the Star Ferry between Hong Kong and Kowloon in the night time! (Octopus Card is valid!)
Visit Holywood Road, Soho, Wan Chai region, Causeway Bay region and Victoria Peak!
Lantau island - The ferry in pier 6 in Hong Kong first takes you to Mui Wo! With respect to your chance whether you take the 30 min. fast ferry or the 60 min. regular ferry. Then you get on the bus #2 to make your way to Ngang Ping village after a 30 min. trip. This is where the famous Budha statue is, however is kind of a newly constructed place with limited history. Entrance fee also covers one ice-cream and a small bottle of water :) If you want to visit the floating village, you can take the bus #21 and proceed to Tai O.
